WHY DESIGN/BUILD?
Because it saves time, money, and frustration by integrating
budgetary considerations at the beginning of the design process.
If an architect or designer does not understand the difference
in cost between remodeling and new construction, drawings
will never jump off the page because blueprints that can’t
mesh with the bottom line will only lead to one thing: “sticker
shock”. It’s one reason that more than 70% of
all designs are never built. Brothers Strong utilizes design/build
to avoid sticker shock by precisely crafting the plans and
the budget. Here’s how it works:
Step
1: First meeting and preliminary proposal
Within one week of our first meeting, the client receives
a one or two-page outline of the proposal and an estimated
project cost.
Step
2: Professional Design Agreement
The client has the option to sign a PDA with Brothers Strong
for initial plans and a design to be developed by one of our
architects, designers, or engineers (as the project requires).
Step
3: Detailed Proposal
We provide a detailed proposal that outlines all aspects of
the project and a preliminary schedule that diagrams the remodeling
process timeline.
Step
4: Revisions and Construction Contract
Client changes are weaved into the final plans and scope of
work. The contract is signed, project schedule finalized,
and a start date is set.
In the design/build concept, pre-production
systems are carefully executed to minimize changes, delays,
and—most importantly--additional costs. Brothers Strong
will maximize the value of your project by developing your
dream while considering the costs, which leads to efficient
and successful projects.
